A New Year, New Programming Line-Up

Beginning January 1, Stoneham TV's public access channel (Comcast 9, RCN 3, Verizon 34) will undergo some major changes. These will be changes for the better, because we're making it possible for locally produced programming to have the maximum number of time slots. Every program produced in Stoneham will receive at least four time slots per week. If you are a sponsor of an imported program, it will receive two time slots. And other programs that we import ourselves will only air one time per week.

Each week, you'll be seeing more Porter Art Group, more Total Woman, more Sports Final Round, and more Representing Stoneham.

Also, we will be introducing some programming blocks: programs with similiar topics will air together. So, if you like finance and legal programming, tune in Monday mornings from 8:00 - 10:00 for Legal Ease, Money Talk, Your Money, Your Life, and Consumer Affairs. If you like movies, sci-fi, and enjoy discussing for hours why the Death Star in Star Wars didn't have railings, Saturday night's line-up is for you: Future talk, Sci-Fi Journal, 30 Odd Minutes, and Stoneham Cinema. Plus, Sunday afternoons are for programs produced in Stoneham ONLY. After 2:30 on Sunday, every program you watch will be made in Stoneham. Consider it "Stoneham Sunday."

In addition, Stoneham TV will now be airing Stateside Footy. Stateside Footy features the sport of Australian Rules Football (or footy) as it is played here in the U.S. Episodes will feature full telecasts of USAFL matches played in the Boston area and feature stories about the game, those who play it, and its spread in the United States. So tune in and root for your hometeam: The Boston Demons!
